Doha to Host Halal Expo 2026
Dar Al Sharq Group and the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) have signed an agreement to host the first edition of Halal Expo, an international exhibition and conference dedicated to Islamic products, scheduled for September 7–9, 2026, in Doha.
The event will bring together manufacturers, businesses, government officials, and investors to showcase and explore opportunities in the halal economy, including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, Islamic finance, tourism, and e-commerce.
“This is the perfect time for markets to open up to halal products and services, which now represent a substantial segment of global demand—even in non-Islamic countries,” Al Sharq Media Management CEO Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Mahmoud said.
Alongside the exhibition, a high-level conference will tackle economic issues driving the global halal market, examining trade flows, standards, and innovation for exporters and importers.
Dar Al Sharq’s Deputy CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Al Sharq newspaper Jaber Al Harmi and Halal Expo Executive Director, Eizeldin Abdulrahman stressed that holding the Expo in Doha further cements Qatar’s reputation as a convening ground for the world’s leading halal brands, investors, and thought leaders. With previous editions of Halal Expo held in countries like Malaysia, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and the US, organisers expect strong international participation and widespread interest from businesses looking to access the Middle East and North African markets using Doha as a gateway.
Halal Expo 2026 is poised to connect innovative companies, policymakers, and consumers, reflecting both the sector’s immense growth and Qatar’s rising profile as a centre for the global Islamic industry.
