Sheikh Saad Al Ghamdi is a world-renowned Qari (Qur’an reciter) and an imam at the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, who hails from Dammam city, Saudi Arabia. He memorized the Quran when he was 22-years-old and is acclaimed for his Tajweed.

Early Life and Education

Sheikh Saad Al Ghamidi obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Sharia in the Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) in Usul al-Din. He has also procured the Al-Isnad in the coveted Hafs 'an 'Asim.

Personal Life

Sheikh Al Ghamdi is married and has three children.

Career

In 2012, Ghamdi was appointed Imam at the Yousef bin Ahmed Kanoo Mosque in Dammam. He served as an Imam at various other mosques in Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Austria.

During Ramadan 2009, Sheikh Saad Al Ghamdi was an Imam during the Taraweeh prayer in the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah.

Recognition

His recitation of the Quran bears similarity to Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy.  It is broadcasted by several leading TV channels and is also available on YouTube.
